Using Editorial Portraits for a Creative Ad Campaign
There are several types of headshots and professional portraits available to today’s corporate clients. They break down into two main categories, editorial portraits or professional headshots. North State Bank wanted to take their standard studio employee headshots (which can be seen on their website) a step further to introduce clients to their market presidents and team leaders. Editorial headshots take place on location, often at a place of business or a location with special meaning to the person being featured. A chef in a kitchen for example, or a personal trainer in a gym. For these photos North State opted for outdoor locations around the Raleigh area – including NC State University, North Hills, Saint Augustine University, North Carolina Museum of Art and North Ridge Country Club.
Each person then wrote a short quote for these ads that run in the Triangle Business journal and other publications. The end result was a professional yet warm way to reach potential clients while still maintaining their corporate brand look.
A make up artist was provided for these shoots ensuring everyone looked and felt their best. Yes, even men!
If you would like to create a dynamic and engaging ad campaign for your company, editorial photos are a great way to start. We would love to help you create the perfect portraits for your industry!
